A Journey with Salim

Serving churches across Syria with hope and Scripture

The program "Journey with Salim" is an educational, psychological, and spiritual initiative within a reading club implemented by the Bible Society in Syria. It is designed to support children affected by wars and disasters.

The program's name refers to the story of the child "Salim" from the Hope story series. Salim is a child who experienced displacement and emotional distress such as fear and confusion, but he begins a journey through small steps, learning how to face life's challenges.

Throughout the club's 16 hours of activities, children read Salim's story and accompany him on his journey, discovering that God does not leave them alone and is able to transform weakness into strength.

The Hope series aims to instill essential skills and coping mechanisms in children, helping them learn how to deal with painful experiences in their lives and build mental and social resilience in the face of future challenges.

Each child participating in the program will receive 8 engaging books from the Hope series, along with guidance from trained facilitators during storytelling sessions and while completing the interactive exercises that accompany the books.

Give your child the opportunity to begin a journey of hope and resilience.
